Hi and help.
We are trying to network a Mac OSX (10.2.8) to a PC (XP SP2) using a
BT Home Hub.
Don't know what a BT Home Hub is. It _appears_ to be a somewhat expensive DSL
modem/router/wireless access point combined in to one. I would prefer to
_not_ have a single device which if (when!) it failed it would take down the
entire net, but that's me. YMMV.
Is this possible?
If the BT device uses standard TCP/IP protocols and standard IEEE 802.11
wireless protocols and standard Ethernet connectors, yes.
It looks like the newest OS for Mac has built in networking software
that auto detects, but we are sticking with 10.2.8 for 6 months or so.
Even OS X 10.0.x, which was a complete joke, used DHCP.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
