Don't forget that laptops can have WiFi too, and can be used from virtually
anywhere within range: a parked car, a back yard, hiding in the bushes...
What about your internet connection? Do you have a firewall to protect your
LAN and Airport from intrusions via the internet? If you don't have a
firewall, or if you are but it's configured to forward one or more ports to
one of your computers, hackers may be finding your open port during random
scans and are trying to hack in. (Even if they fail, their attempts will
still cause network activity on your LAN.)
