Microsoft Office update and Firefox


Just curious if anyone knows why, when I use Microsoft Update to update my copy of Office, it insists that I kill off Firefox before it can finish the installation.

Was it the Sharepoint browser plugin?

Is there any reason not to disable this?

And a way to tell MS Office Update not to add/update this thing?
