Did you mean to say "not responding"?

No. I meant "Responding". Sometimes it says that and sometimes "Not
Connected".

(the Client that is installed) and
other times Not Connected.
And, when I Test it presents the dialog box with the name and version
number of the Client and says "found backup client"

Usually that means the computer running the client is asleep, powered
down, or not connected to the network. If the computer is asleep or off
the network, Retrospect cannot talk to the client. Therefore, you'll
need to make sure the affected computer is up and running before working
with the client. And it'll need to be up and running during backups as
well.

Over the years I've left the setting the same on her (Client) Mac. I
believe I set it to Never sleep the computer but set a time for Display
to sleep. I think I have the hard drive set to sleep when possible.

Anything here raise a "red flag" before I do the Forget and Add approach?

Thanks for the help.

Not that I can think of...
