Many, many of them appear to be duplicates -- no surprise there -- and
thus my inquiry. I'm looking for a simple application onto which I can
drop a folder of files and have it return a list of the duplicates. If
it gave me the option of marking and/or trashing the redundant files, I
would be in hog-heaven, but just a list would suffice.

Suggestions? I know that each file has some kind of unique tag (CRC?)
representing its size and content, so it ought to be a simple task to
compare them and report twins (and triplets and . . .), but I'm not one
who can program his way free of cobwebs much less paper bags, so please
don't suggest I should roll my own. I will sacrifice a chicken in the
name of whomever can help. Thanks in advance.
