Hi, Group,

I am a new Mac user. I have a Western Digit USB hard drive which I
used in Windows often. In my Macbook Pro, I can only read the files on
it, but can not write. How to deal with it.

I searched online, and found 'NTFS-3G', is this the solution? I
installed it but nothing happened? Thanks
Vol.
Did you install MacFUSE? That's the host process; the NTFS-3G thing you found is a plugin for it.
...Or use...
Paragon NTFS for Mac OS X 6.5.1
full read & write access to NTFS partitions
http://www.versiontracker.com/dyn/moreinfo/macosx/34187

It's working fine for both internal NTFS partitions and external NTFS drives on my MacPro....

Well sure, but that's a company charging for something that should be free, IMO. If you use MacFuse with NTFS-3G, you don't have to pay a dime to get the same functionality.

And - are you sure it'll work without the disk being initialized with the 'Windows NT Filesystem 3G' file structre?

cheers, Erik Richard
