Apple Mail: How to enter rule Sender or Recipient is member of group?

I like to sort my Apple Mail messages according to people or groups
mostly, including my messages to them (around one hundres mail folders).
There are basically two mechanism available:
using Adress Book groups, or
mutliple individual e-mail addresses in a rule.
Using Address Book groups I can easily sort incoming messages by
selecting "Sender is member of group". My outgoing messages to the group
are not being taken care of like this.
Using individual e-mail addresses is possible: Thanks to old rules
imported from Eudora I have not only From: available, but also "To or
From or Fcc or Bcc" or "Any Header". This takes care of sorting myoutgoing messages too, but I have to individually enter e-mail addresses.
Plus this mechanism only is available on my mail, not on freshly
installed Mac OS X. The only way out would otherwise be to have two
entries in the rules for each person, incoming (Sender) and outgoing
(Recipient).
Is there an easier or more elegant way to do what I try to?
TIA
Marc
