I was just doing my usual early morning stuff that included updating

logs, but the console showed the message below (multiple, multiple times
in a row).
Couldn't reopen AddressBook database. Home directory may not be ready or
is missing.

I was in the middle of a Mozy upload at the time
When Address Book and Mail have their stuff open, they place their files
in a special, temporary state. Doing a backup at that moment is probably
not a good idea. You don't want to be doing any "usual early morning
stuff" when Mozy (or any other backup system) is at work.
Also, if Address Book goes down while it has its stuff open, the
temporary stuff is left in place (you can see Mozy having trouble with
the temporary lock file, lockN, in the log that you posted).
Basically, just delete the contents of Library/Application
Support/Address Book and replace those contents with your backup, and
then go forth and sin no more... m.
