I downloaded and installed FF3 since I heard such great things about it.
Within hours, I trashed it and reinstalled FF2.
The first couple of hours I used FF3, it was fine. But when I tried to
put the history list in the side panel, the word "history" appeared at
the top of the panel, but my bookmarks remained in the display. I could
see my history list from the "History" item in the menu, but couldn't
display or search it in the side panel.
I posted a note in the FF forum, asking if this was a known bug. Someone
suggested I make sure that feature was turned on in FF Preferences. I
clicked on FF, Preferences, and nothing happened. No dialog, no message.
Nada!
I dumped it. I'm back to FF2 until they have another release to fix it
so it at least half way works on a Mac.
Just wanted to let people know that at least in some cases, FF3 for Mac
is not ready for prime time. Or even cable. Of course, YMMV.

Not had the problem you commented on. Had FF3 since Beta and in general
it has been fine. The biggest complaint I have heard is plug-ins not
being compatible - but as the beta's have been around for a while, I
blame the plugin writers.

FF3 is not perfect, but not had any problems wothr reverting back to FF2.

FF3 also has problems with iWeb galleries and stuff like shadows and
other bells and whistles in iWeb. So for those sites you'd better use
Safari.
FF3 as compared to FF2 also has trouble with German accents on certain
sites. It does not show small things, like certain lines on webpages
and my own weblog does not fit the parts together well in FF.
So FF3 is not really for me. And where are those millions and millions
of improvements? I've seen some in the menu bars, but so far only a
pain in the neck.
