Re: NeoOffice won't work with Reunion

I can't get a Reunion report to work with NeoOffice.
It opens NeoOffice but just a blank page. What's wrong?

What kind of report (what's the supposed nature of the generated file)?

Any NeoOffice destination report I've tried, but in particular:

Create->Ahnentafel Report->Destination: NeoOffice->Open

What version of NeoOffice?

2.2.3 Patch 2

What version of Reunion?

9.07
and MacOS X 10.5.2

This might be better asked in the ReunionTalk forums available at <http://www.reuniontalk.com/>. I'm guessing that there's an issue which requires insights from the Reunion developers.

I have the latest Reunion (9.07) and the latest NeoOffice (2.2.3 patch 2) and tried setting NeoOffice as my Word Processing app in Reunion. When generating a report which was targeted to NeoOffice, I got the same response as the OP -- the report was created in the RTFD format, and

Aha! But I've never heard of RTFD. Why would they not give a choice of
RTF or RTFD if it causes problems like this I wonder?

NeoOffice was launched, but not with the report. I suspect that NeoOffice isn't capable of handling the RTFD format, and that Leister would have to set up Reunion to use the ODF formats in order for it to work.

Haven't heard of ODF either. Should Reunion users really need to know
about RTFD and ODF to use NeoOffice on a Mac platform with Reunion?
After all, the RTF file destination works, and then opening NeoOffice on
it works.

The RTFD format is a folder with the real RTF file and the associated images stored as peers inside. On top of that, the tags that specify the images are not baseline RTF, so I'm not terribly surprised that NeoOffice doesn't know what to do with either package or the contents thereof.
