Re: iSync doesn't see phone, but phone sees USB connection

The last time I tried iSync with my Nokia 6133 phone, a couple of
months back, it synced, but now it has some bizarre problem. I just
killed everything off, unplugged the phone, and started from scratch.
I plugged the USB cable into the phone and then into my Mac Powerbook
(10.4.11, Software Update says there's nothing to update). The phone
saw the USB connect, and asked me for the mode. I selected Nokia
mode. I then fired up iSync, which showed icons for .mac and 6133
as usual. I hit the Sync Devices button, and the little progress
bar turned blue for about 5 or 6 mm, hung there for a few seconds,
and then zipped to the right. A little window popped up saying

[6133] The phone cable is not plugged.
Please plug the phone cable on your computer.
Device "6133" synchronization failed

Not what you want to hear, but is this Nokia on the list of supported devices published by Apple?

Nokia in the specific and mobile phones in general are very tricky to get to work with any software. Each model has to be verified and a library of tweaks and exceptions have to be included in iSync for the phones that /do/ work.

Basically, you were lucky it ever worked.
