Anyone have a Macbook Pro (mine is brand new) that has keys sticking onSorry to hear you're having this problem. While I haven't had any

I would like to know if this is an issue or unique to my board please.
noticeable issues with my MacBook Pro keyboard, I do recall reading
reports of others having issues with missing key strokes. Apple released
a firmware update to address those issues as well:
<http://docs.info.apple.com/article.html?artnum=307355>
I bought my MacBook Pro back in February of 2007, and even though I
hadn't noticed any such problems, I applied the update when it became
available.
If yours is new, I suspect that's already included though.
Let me ask you this: Is this something you can reliably reproduce? If
so, what are the exact steps needed to reproduce it? With detailed
instructions, the rest of us with MacBook Pros here can test our own
machines and report results here.
sporadic key issue. What seems to be happening is that the A key takes a
hit and periodically just doesn't register the A on the screen. It's
perplexing trying to reproduce it. If I just peck at the key it
registers normally or will miss every so often. But if I try typing
something normally like I'm doing now, I'll pick up a missing A about
once or twice in a paragraph.
It's a random thing. I even thought it might be my typing touch, as I'm
used to a keyboard and the keys are a lot closer on the Pro thn (there,.
I missed an A right there), but I honestly don't think that's it.
I'm deliberately making this post a bit long trying to pick up some
missing A's, but so far nothing excpt (missed the E there) the one above.
I have Apple Care for 3 years on t (missed an I there) so it's more than
one key.
Thinking about it, it just might be my touch on the keys. I might be
hitting them on the edge every once in a while.
I'll keep messing with it. If it continues, I'll take it back in to
Apple and have them look it over.
I saw that firmware update on the site but I think I have it already.
I'm showing Leopard 10.5.2 and I think that includes it.
I bought the Macbook Air first of all but decided after using it for
about a week that the Pro would be better for me. I exchanged the Air
for the Pro. Like it a lot.

I had this, and it typically happened on the logon screen - my
password was rejected the first time. I also found that my
touchtyping accuracy went right down. At first I blamed it on having
a new MBP and a new keyboard - but then I found this:
http://www.apple.com/downloads/macosx/apple/firmware_hardware/macbookmacbookprokeyboardfirmwareupdate10.html
Since applying this (download and install, then run the updater from
the utilities subfolder under applications) it's been fine.
Hope this helps,
Ric
