Ok well *if* I were to purchase a version of Vista *other than*
"Ultimate", and *if* it were to fail online activation, I'd simply call
Microsoft and complain that activation failed "on my custom-built PC"
and activate over the phone instead. Microsoft just wants to be sure
you're not trying to activate on more than one computer at a time. Once
you give them a reasonable explanation as to why the activation failed,
they're satisfied. Like I said, though, I haven't encountered a network
activation failure yet, personally.
