I've been messing around with these machines since 1984, but every now
and then something comes up that makes me feel like a total newbie.
Case in point: I'd like to give Firfox some test miles, and have read
here many times how useful AdBlock Plus is, so I downloaded it.
I'll be d*mned if I can figure out how to install the thing. I looked
through the FAQ and felt like I was trying to read Greek.
Could some kind soul walk me through what I'm sure must be a very easy
process?
In case it matters, I'm running 10.4.11 on a 466 HMz G4 and I have the
latest version of Firefox.
Install the extentsion, restart Firefox and then by the first startup of
Firefox he will ask witch server you want to use to sync/update with. From
then everything will go automatic, all ads will be blocked. If there soms
ad you want to remove manualy just right click on the ad and choose 'block
with AdBlock Plus'.
Also a good add-on is R.I.P. (Remove It Permanently), with works under the
right mouse button.

Good luck :-)
Thanks, Wim. It was the actual installation step that had me fooled.
I thought I need to do something external to the application. I should
have known better! Once I fired up the Fox and navigated to the site,
the process was totally clear to me. Doh!
Cheers!
