Could someone please help with this?
I'm trying to kill any post in HDTV.264 that contains the words
BluRay or HDDVD, but so far no luck.
Are the filters case sensitive?

bluray|hddvd

should do it. Regex "engines" aren't usually case-sensitive by default.
Why are you posting to this group?

What's wrong with posting to this group?

I don't really care, but it seems to not have anything to do with csma
and more to do with something called HDTV.264. I've never seen BluRay or
HDDVD mentioned here, I don't think.

What the OP asked was about creating a filter in Unison (a Mac
newsreader application) to avoid messages containing references to
BluRay or HDDVD. That seems like a Mac application question to me (just
as would asking how to create a filter to ignore messages about penile
implants, real-estate deals, or other types of spam).
