I was given an old Palm PDA, M100. I'm trying to find out if it's of

It won't be, if I can't export my Entourage Calendar data to it. When I
try
to export that data to my desktop (on an Imac G5, running OS 10.4.10), and
try to import into Palm DeskTop, the file (Main Identity.rge) is grayed
out.
Entourage doesn't give me an option to export the data as tab-delimited
text, which should work. Any suggestions?

Why go through all that work exporting this or that when synchronization
works so well? Why aren't you using HotSync to do this?
Are you referring to HotSync from the Palm? I was led to believe I needed to
import into the Palm Desktop software, then synchronize to the Palm from
there!

No, no, no. : ) Ok... Microsoft Office has its own conduit that
replaces Palm Desktop's conduit. The installer is here:
/Applications/Microsoft Office 2004/Additional Tools/Handheld Sync
Installer.

But before you install that, you need to perform a successful HotSync
operation with your Palm and Palm Desktop to ensure everything works
correctly (and to back up your Palm device).

Once you know synchronization is working correctly, then run the
Microsoft Handheld Sync Installer. It will replace some Palm Desktop
conduits with an Entourage conduit.

Next, run Palm Desktop, and choose HotSync > Conduit Settings. You'll
see a new Entourage Conduit. Double-click Entourage Conduit to edit the
conduit settings (there are a lot of them - be thorough). Then perform
another HotSync. This time, depending on your conduit settings, your
Palm will synchronize addresses, events, tasks, and notes with Entourage
rather than Palm Desktop.
