Hi,
Has anybody tried running Boot Camp with an XP installation that does
not have SP2, but SP1? Are there any known issues doing this and
upgrading to SP2?
I only ask because I have a copy of XP Pro SP1, and I really don't
want to shell out another $300 for a new CD.
Thanks guys.
<http://www.apple.com/macosx/techspecs/> says:
"Boot Camp requires a Mac with an Intel processor and Windows XP Service
Pack 2 or Windows Vista (sold separately)."
I recall statements to the effect that this had to be a "read-made" SP2
installer, not added as an update to the original XP. The Leopard pages
no longer say this, but gives is no real reason to believe it is no
longer required, either.
