Morning all
Ok I know this should be easy but I need a script to mount an external
firewire drive. The issue is when I plug in the drive it mounts and I
backup, copy files etc. I then eject it but later on in the day I want it
back and I have to open disk utility to remount it again. Removing and
reconnecting the FW cable doesn't work. So I though a nice little apple
script or some such to automate the task OR am I overlooking something
obvious?
Why not just make life easy for yourself and leave the drive mounted?
That's what I do; works fine. Alternatively, drag a file or folder from
that disk onto your Mac's Desktop or the Dock. When you click on that
folder, it will mount the disk and open up the folder. This will work,
even if your disk is connected to another computer and shared over a
network.
like the folder idea - Ill give it a try. I could keep it mounted as well
but I don't always do it.
