An easy way to see what MIME type a erver claims is to launch
Terminal.app and type "curl -Ihttp://domain.example/path/file" (without
the quotes, and substitute the URL with the one you want to test). Hit
Enter. The MIME type will be on the line that says "Content-Type:".
Using Terminal is a bit beyond my capabilities, but I'm grateful for
the advice.
Oh, come now. Sander told you *EXACTLY* what to type. The only abilities
required are reading his directions and typing. I understand that some
people aren't comfortable with figuring out how to do things on the
command line, but it sounds to me like you are just making a knee-jerk
reaction here as though the mention of the word "Terminal" causes panic.
Would it help if there was an alias for Terminal with some other name.
:-)
