sketchup is amazingly easy to use - I run it on an iBook G4, 800 MHz and
did all the drawings with the trackpad only (and iScroll !)
It's very straightfoward to use. However, it's mainly a 3D program. It
offers a 2D mode. But it's not made for this.
I wanted to do some simple drawings recently - nothing what I'd name
'CAD', but draw only. I loved MacDraw.
But I did not find anything like that for the Mac yet. OmniGraffle is
powerful, but I feel it's the overkill here. Drawing form OpenOffice was
rather clumsy. Drawing from AppleWorks was completely broken. I did not
like EazyDraw that much.
For 2D CAD I liked cadintosh, for drawing I prefer Intaglio
Any other recommendation?

Have a look at Cadintosh, from Lemke Software, who also produce
GraphicConverter, the swiss army knife of images for the Mac:
