My mother asked me if I could remove the logo of a pink pair of lips from
her outgoing mail messages. I don't use Mail but figured it couldn't be too
hard. Well, I've given up. I can't find a preference anywhere in Mail to add
this (or any) logo to outgoing mail.
The lips appear in the top pain of the mail, to the right of the address
fields. I use Entourage and don't see them on mail I receive from her. I
don't know if someone using Mail sees them.
It could be something she downloaded and installed; she won't remember (she
has early-stage Alzheimer's).
She's using the last version of Panther and Mail 1.2.something on a PPC Mac
mini.
Does anyone know anything about this?
When your mother logs into her own account (when she starts up her Mac),
what image is associated with her account. Check System Prefs-><select
her account>->Picture->Apple Pictures. About halfway down this list of
images is a pair of pink lips at a 45 degree angle. If this is the image
she is seeing, she can change it to something else from the list if she
wants or drag a custom image or photo into the image box. She would
likely have selected this image when she set up her computer, or someone
else selected it for her at that time.
