dorayme is right - I made a typo. Good catch.
I have observed that Safari does sometimes crash at the point of
trying to open some websites, often in further tabs. I am not
sure what goes on, whether it is connected to memory leaks which
have been reported with Safari (especially in relation to new
tabs and windows), whether to scripting issues that websites load
up on their clients (because they won't learn server side
scripting or simple good html/css practices) or sheer bad or
worse html practice (frames that open in frames that open in...
can gobble up resources fast and crash things.
Perhaps we should all be particularly observant and note the
circumstances. Even open the suspected urls in perhaps more
stable browsers to see what might be happening. And of course, to
take a look at the log suggested by JR to get any clues too.
I am usually lazy and either wait a while, look up what I want in
FF or iCab or even Mac IE (I still use it now and then for
sentimental reasons!) and the problem disappears when I come back
to fire up Safari and visit quite different sites fine.
