Maybe. Try deleting Safari's preference files.
Is that the com.apple.Sarari.plist file?
I believe so, yes.
What about deleting Quicktime's preferences file instead, since the problem is happening with Quictime in Netscape 7.2 as well as Safari?
Sure, give it a shot!
Also, if you want, you
can paste the crash log here and I'll see if I can give you a clue as to what's causing the crash.
Thanks, Jolly.

Not sure what this is about. Look in your System Preferences > Accounts
Login Items. Do you have an item in there that is a folder or volume?

You have a corrupt or incomplete QuickTime install.
Other parts of your system may be corrupt / incomplete as well. I advise you (again) to Install the Combo update as I instructed earlier in this thread.
If the problem does not go away after that, download the QuickTime installer from here and install it:

BTW, this is not the Safari crash log I asked for. This is the console log. What I wanted was the Safari crash log from /Users/you/Logs/CrashReporter/. Don't worry about sending it now, though. I feel fairly certain the problems you are experiencing are due to your hosed system install.
I still wonder if the problem was caused by me foolishly having moved the Network/Libary folder to my hard drive folder about five months ago when I was new to OS X , because if you look at the third line down says "FSResolveAliasWithMountFlags returned err = -43"?
Nope - that is a unrelated. And it's likely not a problem at all.
My Network/Libary folder now is only an alias because I had moved the Library folder early in the year, as I stated above. I know I asked that question before, but are you sure that wouldn't have messed up my computer?
Nope - that shouldn't mess anything up, and I don't think this file is even related to the Library folder in your home folder. FWIR, this is a special file maintained by the system, and it almost always shows up as an alias. This is how it looks on my system:
