Hi. I am unable to run the installer even when I double-click the
original icon.
I also called Apple for help but because my machine is slower than the
required processor speed, Apple would not help me with my installer
issue.
Well, there's the problem then. You'll have to upgrade your Mac.
I talked to someone in this newsgroup who said he's gotten Iwork 06 to
work on a machine with the same processor speed and amount of vram as I
have.
Is it possible that something is wrong with my installer.app?
I therefore still need to figure out why the installer isn't working and
how to run it successfully. Any additional advice is appreciated.
Well, for iWork on this machine it looks like you are out of luck. Test
your Installer.app to see if it is working by downloading and running any
simple app that requires it. OnyX is one such app.
I did download Onyx. I double-clicked on the Onyx.pkg file and nothing
happened, the same as when I tried double-clicking hte Iworks.pkg. So,
the problem doesn't seem to have anything to do with Iwork.
Do you have any idea what could be going wrong?
Thanks,
Mirsky
