I've tried iweb, but want a little more control. I'm currently trying
out Rapidweaver and it seems 'ok' for the money.

Can anyone suggest any others to try?

Have you thought about using a good text editor?

I prefer them to the "WYSIWYG" type of programs.

The free Textwrangler from Bare Bones software is well worth looking at:

I use BBEdit myself:

which is the "pay for" version.

You might be surprised how easy it is simply to write the HTML yourself.

A good place to get your head around HTML and CSS is:

If you write your own HTML and CSS then it is much easier to update in the
future and you become a much more powerful web-page creator :)
