Streaming Video across the IT

IF my high school physics are correct, it is impossible to stream high
quality video across the internet. The internet uses intermitent
packets to send data. Over but short distances e.g. local networks, the
packet takes 0.8 second to reach the receiver vta sattelite. ON receipt
the packet needs verification before an OK is sent to the sender to
send any more packets. This method is standard DUPLEX protacol, not the
same SIMPLEX as video sent by dedicated telecommunicatios lines used by
commercial TV.

This limitation is independant of bandwidth.

I never run away from a technical discussion !
