Yes something has improved. My friend can now view my cam normally on
her PC - however her cam shows as 'no webcam online' when I try to view
it.

I did receive the response below from Yahoo, but didn't even bother
doing what they suggest. I especially like the last sentence!! I've
been trying AIM - looks as if it could be good but I have not been
successful yet at getting the video to work both ways.

To fix this problem, you'll need to uninstall Yahoo! Messenger and then

reinstall it. Doing this will not cause you to lose your Friends List,

because that information is stored on our servers, not your machine.

Begin by uninstalling the Messenger:

1. Make sure to exit Yahoo! Messenger completely. If you don't, the
un-installation will fail.
2. Delete Yahoo! Messenger completely, along with the preferences.
3. Delete all cookies, cache folders and history files for browser.

Once the Messenger has been uninstalled, the next step is to install it

again. To do this go to the Messenger home page at:

http://messenger.yahoo.com/mac.php
