Podcast Creation Recommendation?

I wanted to play a few tunes with ongoing discussion of the piece, and provide a few visual examples while the tune is playing. Seems that podcasting would be perfect.
As I did a year or so ago, I snooped around for the shareware do-it-yourself programs. I blew it off then as confusing. I'm less confused now, but some of those programs won't allow for second evaluations--pay up or take off.
I wouldn't mind dropping a few bucks if there is consensus on what program(s) work best for these tasks. I understand that low-quality qtime video's generated with iSight and some kind of low-dollar video processing, maybe iMove will help me do the entire thing: audio and moving images.
Then, what? The podcaster allows for "chapterization" and publishing?
