Nope. Apple didn't adopt it until a bit after it became an IEEE standard.

OpenBoot (which led to Open Firmware from IEEE.1274) was initially
developed by Mitch Bradley and others at Sun. It's clear that Mitch was
a fan of the Forth language.

I was interested to see Apple pick it up, as I had done the end user
documentation of FCode which underlays OpenBoot, and worked on some of
the IEEE documentation for the first release of IEEE.1274.
