Problem with safari & apple.com

Hey there,
Everytime I navigate to apple.com it won?t load fully and just hangs,
then when I stop it from loading & try another website it tells me it
can?t find it and I end up having to restart both my mac & router
before I can get connected again! I?ve done numerous virus scans and
disk permissions and got nothing and Firefox works fine with apple..
whats all that about?????
