OTQ (sorry) printing from OSX - OS9.1 printer

I'm sorry, I know this is off-topic. But if no one can help me out
here, can someone advise which group to post this question to? Thanks.

I have an old PPC with a serial printer (BJC4550) which I want to print
to from my G4 running 10.4.2 (because my nice USB printer has died).
The two machines are on a router and network happily in either
direction.

Can it be done? And how, please.
