I have this printer and the app is definitely there.
But what I don't understand from the OP is -- if "photosmart 7700
series" is coming up when you print, a window with your queued jobs
should be coming up for you to peruse. Even if it isn't, the app's icon
should be in the dock and you can click-hold on it to bring up a menu
which has "Show in Finder" that you can select so that the app's
folder's window appears.
