He/she/it is also overlooking the simple fact that in these days lots of
people work totally from home and don't have an office to go to and work
"overtime" at.

They are also overlooking the person who has a home run business, such as a
photographer, who would use a laptop in the field and then move all of his
photo's to a desktop (or two) when returning home, to review/touchup etc.
in
Lightroom/Aperature/iMovie/Final Cut (Pro), etc.

And as we stop building kit in this country (and shift to service
oriented products) this group will only get bigger.
