Re: Mac US sales up 21% year-over-year in October, November

Why does the size matter that much, anyway?

Quite a bit, actually. Users with larger or dual-monitor systems are more
productive. Don't remember where I scrounged that up, but used it to talk a
manager into larger screens for his production staff.

I wouldn't doubt that, since the context seems to be work
computers - but while what I do with my computer is more along the
*lines* of "work" computers (as compared to gamers, mainly), it's
still a personal computer. I just do things as I do them.

Moreover, the 21.5" 16:9 screen isn't as much bigger than my 19" 16:10
as one might think by looking at the numerals. The major pixel
difference is in the iMac's width, not very much height difference.
I'd prefer a 16:10 screen, even if it were larger. (And I could
replace it - the iMac was a total and utter red herring in reply to
what I said about why I like my computer, and that's probably because
the Mac Pro models are ghastly expensive, so the phony point couldn't
have been made by a comparison to a comparable machine, desperate as
that poster was to vainly attempt to make the point.)
