Very impressive. About 20 hours of hard app use, no OS errors,
no apps acting up. It all just sits there and does whatever I
need it to do. Love the Aero Peek and new task bar system.
Thanks, Apple!

The W7 search engine is simply awesome. Wow, find files,
folders, options, shortcuts, and even commands. This is very
cool stuff. Thanks again, Apple!

Also great to have fax and scan back in the basic OS too...along
with numerous other new and useful items.

Unlike "Snow Job" Leopard there are no broken apps (did not even
have to update anything expect Symantec AV) and unlike the Mac
WiFi stays connected.

It looks like 7 million W7 beta testers did a lot better job
than 7 Snow Leopard beta testers, but YMMV.

One issue remains - the Ethernet card does not work. After
searching high and low for a W7 driver for my flavor of NVidia
Ethernet, and finding none, I ordered a $5 USB/Ethernet dongle.
Just love good old eBay.

Sandman:
So with W7 you have a lot fo copied features from Mac OS X, but it
couldn't copy the functioning hardware of Macs, so your PC broke.
Again. New ethernet hardware, new printers. Sucks to be a Windows
user.

Steve de Mena:
The printer didn't break, he wanted a better one.

Also, I have a Belkin wireless WiFi printer router that now will
not connect to either printer that it controls on this machine.
It is still working for the wife's XP machine. This too is a
driver issue. If Belkin does not issue a W7 driver pretty soon
I'll have to replace that equipment

Belkin wireless router....maybe. I suspect pilot error.

Works with Windows XP, not with Windows 7. But yeah, this is Tom Elam,
so it's safe to assume that he did something wrong.

Windows 7 forced him to buy new hardware. :(

How much would that $5 USB/Ethernet dongle be if Apple made it?

$0, since Macs have working ethernet ports even after upgrading the OS.

I had hundreds of dollars in hardware no longer work after my Snow
Leopard upgrade. eSATA controller, eSATA enclosure, Firewire audio
interface, USB MIDI interface....

Whatever that has to do with the point I successfully made.

His point is that he didn't research what would and wouldn't work with
Snow Leopard and of course, blames Apple for that.

LOL... how foolish to think that an OS upgrade would break
compatibility with common, existing hardware... no, that's not
Apple's fault at all...

If the same happened with W7, the Apple fanbois would be screaming MS
SUXXX!!!
.
