The implications are that this measure is saying that 5 of the 6
"Laptop Hunter" ads are failures, since 91% of the buying public
aren't buying $1000, $1500 or $2000 PCs...they're buying the Macs at
those price points.

Oh, no! Poor Apple! How will they ever survive, only being able to sell
high-quality computers to extremely profitable market segments?

Prove that other PCs for less are of lesser quality than
Macs. I've built computers and have a background in electronics.
I can tell you that the components in Macs are the same quality
as those in cheaper computers. Many of the big boys are building
computers using over the counter MBs and they are making leaps
and bounds in the quality department. I see the components
they're using on the MBs and the quality is a lot better than
five or six years ago. But I'm really interested in seeing you
fall on your face trying to prove that you get better components
from Apple as opposed to other vendors.

As usual, you're obsessed with tech specs and component details. The
general market doesn't really care. You want to understand how regular
people perceive quality?

the included software. It's the design. It's the web sites and retail
stores of the various vendors. It's the packaging. Of course, you think
all of that is meaningless fluff. But that's because you have very
different priorities from most regular people. And no taste.
