The problem I have with Liberals is they think the government is going
to help the problem.

So do many Conservatives: they look to government to stop abortion, to push
prayer in schools, to dictate who can marry whom, to control people's
behavior in the bedroom, to say what research can be done with what stem
cells, and on and on.

They don't; they ALWAYS make it worse.

Both Conservatives and Liberals, in the USA, (or at least Democrats and
Republicans) agree to the marriage of business and government - they just
disagree who should "wear the pants". Progressives and Libertarians want
the marriage broken up, but the former wants government to be in control,
the latter wants businesses to be in control. I think it would be best if
both had power and balanced each other.

Both sides of the aisle are 100% corrupt. Not one Senator or Congressman looks
out for their constituents. They are there for their own selfish needs. They
work for themselves just like the guy that drives to the factory to work every
morning. The Government IS our biggest problem.

You know this about every one. Wow. That is a lot of research. Will you
please share it?

Just look at how in bed with the banks Congress is. Rent the documentary Maxed
Out. It has live feeds of the Credit Reform hearings and Bankruptcy Reform
hearings. BOTH SIDES legalized large scale loansharking. CC companies charing
upwards of 45% interest. To EVER trust ANYONE in Washington D.C. is utter
stupidity.

The current marriage of business and government is insane.

I implore you big government types to watch Maxed Out. If you don't hate
Credit Companies, Banks, and Insurance companies and how in bed they are with
Washington D.C. after watching that you are hopeless.

Still the problem lies mainly with the uneducated public. America is so in
love with the god damned dollar that nothing else matters. Everyone has to
have the latest and greatest of everything. TV tells you if you get the latest
iPod you'll be happy. If you get this BMW you'll be living the American Dream.
Get the 6 Bedroom house with a the 1000 square food kitchen and you'll be
happy. Just charge it! Just get your house re-appraised and take out a 2nd
mortgage. Sure you'll be happy, for about 20 minutes until the shine wears
off. Then the bill comes and the happiness turns to anxiety when they realize
their house is worth that much and if they are out of work for a month they'll
lose everything. WAKE THE *** UP PEOPLE. Be responsible for yourselves. Your
government WILL NEVER HELP YOU OR FIX ANYTHING. *** it's frustrating how
stupid people are.

I agree that people often do not take responsibility for themselves... no
argument here. I also understand that many who do what they can are still
struggling. Not a black and white issue.
