yes, there 'could possibly be some' laptops like that- but on the
toshiba satellites, there's a picture by every indicator light.  even
when the light lights up in the shape of the thing, the picture is
still there when not lit up.

or, unlike you, i did a little research and looked at toshiba's sit
before posting- they have a lovely gallery of each machine, and you
zoom in for a clear look at all the switches and lights for each
machine.  ;D

we work with what we have alan...  and tim's story doesn't exactly
have a lot of details...  :P

Other than the fact that the model was obsolete and therefore a check of
the current models is useless.

i don't read "obsolete," as described by a best buy salesperson, to
mean the same as not a model that toshiba would list on their website,
especially if it (apparently) wasn't sold on closeout at bestbuy
(would have been deeply discounted, and the og purchaser would have
known initially). ymmv.

You had all that, but I guess the brain you have to work with wasn't up
to the task of processing it.

i think you're making a lot of assumptions i'm not.
