from the article; (did you even bother to read it?)
" Microsoft releases the public betas in order to get feedback and
telemetry
from testers to improve the product. Apple, on the other hand, will
drop
its
new OS down from heaven (or, rather, Cupertino), without soliciting a
word
of feedback on in-development code from ordinary users."
IOW; you get what Jobs and Apple think you should get.
And you fools lap it up.
and company are just able to figure it out without all the fanfare MS
is
using to salvage the fiasco that Vista was/is.
How droll.
how?
Apple consistently shows that they do understand what their users want
as shown by the brand loyalty they exhibit.
3% world market share shows just how much they understand. "Brand loyalty"
is not too smart of a philosophy. You miss out on so many other options.
Oh, you mean how Microsoft does things with, um, Vista?
You don't need public betas and such to find that out, there are other
less obtrusive and visible ways.
No? Care to name a few "less obtrusive" and a few "less visible ways"?
Telepathic communication perhaps? The phases of the moon? Reading chicken
entrails? Consulting the Oracle of Delphi?

Um no.
In case you didn't bother to read, or don't know how to read, or have no reading comp;
" Microsoft releases the public betas in order to get feedback and telemetry
from testers to improve the product. Apple, on the other hand, will drop its
new OS down from heaven (or, rather, Cupertino), without soliciting a word
of feedback on in-development code from ordinary users."
If Microsoft relies on Beta's then why has Windows been such a security nightmare for so many, many consumers, schools, small-businesses, and corporations?
Because you lump "Windows" into every version that has ever been released instead of discussing Wndows Vista and Windows 7.
But the core is still the same.
Bugs and NSA back doors.
