I've used the iPhone 3G since launch it's by far the best battery life
of any 3G phone I've ever used. I don't see how anyone could claim the

Most of the battery drainage problems are due to problems in the 2.0 software. After using some 3rd party applications the phone fails to go completely into standby causing the phones battery to drain faster. This happened once to me in the last two weeks. The solution is to reboot. I suspect this problem will be resolved within the next couple ofr weeks with the release of 2.01.
