If you look at Obama's positions on such things as healthcare, etc., I
think you will see he is somewhat to the *right* of Clinton. The reason
he is so popular with more left-leaning voters is that he promises
change (which, in my opinion, we really need), and he was against the
Iraq war from the beginning. His voting record in the Senate is pretty
much straight along Democratic Party lines, which, in the big picture
(Western democracies), puts him pretty much middle of the road.

He is also, for a politician at his level, amazingly upfront and open...
when was the last time a person with a real chance to be elected president
wrote their own major speech as Obama did with his race speech.

If he was white he would have lost long ago. Voting PC makes people
feel like they are making a difference with actually ever having to DO
anything to make the world a better place. They can vote for this
imebecile and then when he fucks up, they'll blame him for all the
world problems.
