something
like browser choice in a control panel. But, that is just me.
Open the Default Programs control panel. Pick Set Program Access and
Computer Defaults.
From there you can set your default web browser among other things.
Doesn't OSX have anything like that?
NOT knowing something, Edwin? How did you figure I would go about
answering your inquiry?

default browser? As far as I can tell, the choice is made in Safari
preferences. Is there another way of doing this?
you
cannot set your default browser in the System Preferences. It is a bit
silly.
doesn't know what he's talking about.
You asked for something "like" what Windows has, and although it is in
Safari's preferences it is "like" what Windows has in that it lets you
set the default browser to any web browser you have installed.
Sandman claimed that OS X application preferences were "like" the Windows
control panel.
No, that isn't what he said. But that wont stop you from continuing to
lie about it. Poor pathetic snit. He just can't help but to be dishonest.
The fact is the *System* preferences are closer to the
Windows control panel. The fact Apple bizarrely has a system preference in
an application preference does not change this.
Another accusation against me from Steve Mackay.
And, of course, it will *never* be supported.
If you had asked me for evidence of my claims, Steve, instead of just
spewing off you would not have made as much of a fool of yourself.

Look, this is silly. It's not an argument, it's an armor plated walrus with
walnut paneling and an all leather interior.
