Apparently, there are other shortcomings in Excel, at least. If you go
to the microsoft.public.mac.office newsgroup, you will see a discussion
where Excel appears to be missing the Data Analysis Toolpack Add in,
hmm, that's probably because most (all?) add-ins were written in vba, which as most people know was axed... this was a consequence that i hadn't thought of, and hadn't heard mentioned... bummer.

well as certain ways to add error bars to graphs. The latter is a
dealbreaker for me, at least.
