YMMV, but I don't really care all too much about the "thin":  I care
about the "light".   At 3lbs, this is a reduced burden to lug around
on the road.

There is a value to light weight and it comes down to many airports
one walks through per year with a laptop, particularly if you then
continue on via mass transit instead of tossing it into the trunk of a
rental car.  Most big city subways have lots and lots of stairs to
negotiate.

       You know, one of the downsides of using a different computer with a
different newsreader is you don't have the same killfile. You have to listen
to the same old people say the same old things and make the same old
excuses. Back into the cage you go. Plonk.

Let me get that straight...

You are on a different computer, so your 'killfile' is not present and
you start ranting how everybody tries to subvert your 'killfiling' by
changing their nick, while all along it was your own incompetence that
led to your tender soul being exposed to those 'insurgents' to your
land of self-deceit?

Do you also not realise that 'killfile' is a very stupid expression,
because you are, in the real world, not 'killing' anybody. You are not
'caging' anybody. All you do is _filter_ out people who don't agree
with you.

In other words, when you say 'Plonk', all you do is stick your finger
in your ears while life goes on as normal.

In your case that delusion is even sadder, because you admittedly look
up Google Newsgroups (yes, the Google Newsgroups you despise so much)
to check out what people you 'plonked' previously are posting.

Amazing...

I wonder what that 'guy in the mirror' is telling you :D
