Steve said LEOPARD was the problem
NO - Steve said some problems appeared _AFTER_ installing Leopard.
As have many other people!
But that is not what Steve said:
I recently had problems with Leopard (a battery issue that
drastically shortens battery life, a keyboard issue where I
get characters other than what I type in and a problem
burning CDs) so I decided to reinstall.
Steve blamed his problems on Leopard.
A reasonable thing to do initially as they weren't there previously, but you
fail to note that after investigation he noted that the CD problem at least
occurred on Tiger as well as Leopard!
So you claim he admitted he was wrong about Leopard? If so, where?
* The battery issue likely was a recalibration issue... nothing to do with
Leopard.
"likely was" meaning still unproven either way!
Well, Steve went from saying he was recalibrating his battery to saying he
could not reproduce the error to later saying he actually never finished
recalibrating.
* The keyboard issue's description changed over time - first the claim was
he got "characters other than what" he typed and later it was not about
characters one would type at all but a "geometric shape" he could not
describe. > He also sometimes claimed it was intermittent but described it as
being non-intermittent. At this point, there is no reasonable doubt was
merely the caps lock indicator and he was painfully confused. Too damned
funny... but not the fault of Leopard.
Again considering the problems others have with caps locks etc as a result
of installing Leopard ...still unproven either way!
Well, there is no other reasonable alternative to Steve's claims... that
seems a pretty strong level of support. :)
* The CD issue is one where he could not even figure out what happened - not
even to the point of if he got error messages or not or, if he did, what
they were! He was, clearly, lying. While others might have CD issues there
is no reason to think Steve did.
Even less reason to assume that he is lying given that you concede that
others have CD issues, your whole premise of him lying is based on his
reluctance to go into any detail about it with *you*, something that he made
abundantly clear that he will not do! Your erroneous claims of him lying
will not change that fact Snit of that you can be sure!
Steve has been completely unable to offer any details. Twist as you wish,
Wally!
There are reports of batteries lasting less than an hour!
There are reports of num and caps lock being reversed!
There are reports of capitals being typed when the caps lock key was off and
typing normally when it was turned on!
There are reports of caps lock and num lock lamps being lit after startup,
even though the actual keys were off!
One guy stated...
"Same here with a brand new MBP. I had num lock and caps lock on and
inverted at each reboot. I have re-installed, now I "only" have the num lock
on and inverted.
I called Apple to be told it is an unknown issue, and therefore there is no
solution."
Of course John and his defender Snit would have us believe that these people
and many many more are suffering "operator error"....amazing!
I never said a thing about *those* issues... you are lying about me. Please
stop.
So it is only Steve that you apply operator error to Snit? Thanks for that
clarification even if it does prove your bias on this issue.
When did I say I always assume operator error when it comes to Steve? You
are, again, lying.
