BTW, have you found those quotes of the Mayor saying Apple is going
out of business?

Yep, as you are well aware of.

I was there to read them. The 'Mayor' has been proving his
senility here for quite a few years. Anyone on the net can look
up his nonsense using Google's archive of Usenet. If you care,
DIY.

As for the biology behind this study, all I can say is that it is
a waste of money to study IF inbreeding causes problems in any
species. The answer is always YES!

The real work that needs to be done is figuring out how to
overcome this problem until such time as mankind gets its act
together and decreases its population on the planet. We are far
beyond the carrying capacity of Earth already and are busily
doing permanent damage as a result.

IOW: What is endangering every species on planet Earth is US.

And yes, that means we are endangering OURSELVES.

Frederick Brooks: I happily use a Macintosh. It's not been
equalled for ease of use, and I want my computer to be a tool,
not a challenge.
