Dell Shares Tank - Murky Outlook
SAN FRANCISCO (MarketWatch) -- Dell Inc. on Thursday reported a 27% rise
in third-quarter earnings despite a decline in sales of desktop PCs as
the company continues to lose market share to rivals such as
Hewlett-Packard.
DELL shares fell more than 10% in after-hours trading, as the maker of
PCs and server gear warned that future earnings could be hurt by shifts
in the market, though it declined to give an exact forecast.
