Sure - and based on the warranty they could have me go to my local
authorized outlet and pay extra to have my computer not sit for a couple

weeks without being looked at. If I did not want to do that the next

was to drive 50+ miles to go to the next closest authorized location or
100+
miles to the closest actual Apple store... and still have to wait and not
have a machine... none of them do loaners or rentals.

They went above and beyond their contractual obligations. I appreciate
that
they did so.

Wake up... the *only* reason you're getting a new machine is because they
(rightfully) placed your unit under the DOA clause of Apple's Sales and
Refund
policy.

They could have opted to just repair it and make me wait. They did not.

Once they determine that it falls under the DOA clause (and your unit most
definitely did) then Apple offers *you* the option to replace or service.
