What the heck is with the new iPod?

I have been enjoying my 160 since the day they showed up at the Apple
store. Previously I had a 60GB Video that worked flawlessly for well
over a year, and when I say flawless, I mean FLAWLESS, I never had to
reset it, not once. Then I gave it to my son to take to basic
training. I replaced it with a 80GB video (gen 5.5) which again was
perfect, except I sold it after two weeks because I heard new ones
were coming out.

I RAN to the Apple store and bought a 160 as soon as they got them,
what a dissapointment. It was ok, but the UI was a little jerky, until
I got the patch, now it might be better, but it locks up at a MINIMUN
once a day, the only thing I can do is to hold the center button and
the up button until it reboots.

Anybody else having problems with these?
