Ambiguous innuendo and ad hominem "arguments" are the long suits ofHere's the reality of the situation... no matter how stoned you and
propagandists. You will never see their "proof", since they have
none...just
innuendo and double-talk. If they are proven to be wrong about one of
their
lies about Apple's "greatness", they then use "common humanity" as the
excuse
for Apple's grab for our dollars.

I am free to believe that Apple initially overcharged for their iPhone.
I
don't need to "prove" that to anyone... it's not like I said they were
"guilty" of criminal wrongdoing in a public forum.
Nobody has asked you to prove your feelings, Steve. Nobody.
You called my feeling an accusation and then asked me to provide support for
it.
Since when is a feeling an accusation? You have repeatedly stated that even
*I*
have admitted I had a "feeling" about the iPhone's price being too high (I
*do*
feel that it was too high... never said anything otherwise) Then, when you
thought you were being clever, you tried to turn my "feeling" into an
accusation... one that you began asking me to provide support for. Are you
so
delusional that you will deny having done this? LOL!
So now you see how I feel, Steve, when some idiot calls my attitude
"uninformed" because I believe that there is little good software (for
my needs, at least) for the Macintosh.
Whatever. I know that I'm still waiting to see the reason you hold the opinion
that Apple has "little good software" (I reject your unsupported comment about
the developer's not giving people what they want). Like 'em or not, I gave my
reasons for the price gouge comment.
Like opinions, feelings are highly subjective, and need no support,
as you have correctly stated above.
By the way, Steve, I have never taken issue with any statement you've
made with respect to Apple's [apparent] price-gouging over their
iPhone.
What company doesn't try to make back some R&D money early on with a product
like this? In my view people just aren't being realistic when thinking about
this aspect of it. Apple is like any other (sane) company.
In fact, I agree that Apple took untoward advantage of their
customers' lust for an iPhone when they set the initial prices.
That Mr Jobs has attempted to make things right with his offer of $100
rebates on other Apple hardware or software shows that their fiscal
department is very sensitive to negative fluctuations in the value of
their good will in the current Market.
Yes, I've already agreed it was a good business maneuver.
Price gouging - a good business maneuver... according to Carroll.
LOL!
It is good in the short term for cash-flow purposes. Long-term it can
destroy a company, especially if it destroys the value of a company's
"good will".
But some manufacturers never consider the long-term value of their
names.
I would not want to be Steve's great-grand child. There would be no
family fortune to fall back on.
